Cultural Competence and Identity Awareness: |
Sessions should be related to the development of cultural awareness and/or cultural consciousness. Topics may include cultural knowledge, cultural awareness, identity development, intersectionality, cultural sensitivity, and interpersonal skills that build capacity to develop and serve faculty and staff of color.

Social Justice Advocacy and Awareness: |
Sessions should be related to challenges within higher education institutions that impact people of color. Topics may include equity challenges in practice, procedures, policies, and systems. Please include ways to ameliorate them or empower attendees to take action.

Career and Professional Development: |
Session should relate to employment, employee development, and career advancement. Topics may include interview skills, resumes, cover letters, diversity statement writing, management training, conflict resolution, and job search skills.

Building Capacity and Sustainability: |
Sessions should address the competing priorities on time, energy, and attention that impact personal wellness. Topics may include mindfulness, self-health, healing, and afford opportunities to reflect and bring individuals a sense of wholeness in their spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical entity.

Promising Practices: |
Sessions should highlight current programming or services at your institution that you feel are the ‘best of the best’. Proposals should spotlight programs and services that serve students, faculty or staff, and are innovative, adaptable, and have an impact on the people and institution they serve.
